The movie podcast where we discuss the blockbusters, the flops and everything in between from one of the freshest decades for movies...the 1980's.
Bill and Jason first met at the University of Miami in the fall of 1991. Bill was looking to produce his first student film 'The Dead View' and was looking for actors to fill out his cast. A mutual friend introduced the two of them and Jason was cast as the villain in the movie. Future projects would follow and many late nights in the dorms watching '80s movies with friends would be a staple with the pair.
Upon graduation, Jason would movie out to Los Angeles to pursue acting while Bill got a job in the Marketing/Special Events Department of the Miami Dolphins. They would meet again in the spring of 2002 at the Star Wars Celebration II in Indianapolis, Indiana. Five years later, Bill would move out to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of making movies, but a writer's strike would make that dream difficult.
Bill, Jason and their college friend Marwan would then create Waterwell Pictures to work on their own film projects and scripts. Out of this collaboration came the award winning short films 'Over Cards', 'Desolate Road', 'Epic Home Break-Ins' and 'Lazer Town' along with some music video projects.
With the pandemic shutting down everything in 2020, Bill and Jason were looking for a creative outlet and decided to create a podcast. They chose '80s movies because they were the movies that inspired them to become filmmakers and relive those great memories in the dorms having 15-20 friends pilled in a room and watching these classics. Enjoy!
